If you liked the book Bottom Time, keep a lookout for a collection of short stories about commercial divers entitled Death at 1000 Feet and Other Deep-Sea-Diving Tales. It’s been in the works for some time now, and I hope to have it published by the end of 2022. It’s based on real-life adventures and tragic tales of commercial divers: encounters with dangerous sea life, lost diving bells at the bottom of the sea, career-ending injuries with the bends, tragic deaths because of the oil industry’s pursuit of profit, and other tales of bravery of those that risk their lives every day in one of the most dangerous professions in the world.
